NOT staged at all.

Nila was rocking out today after news from the pediatrician that she gained four ounces and doesn't have to go back until her one month birthday!

She's officially at 4.14 oz! I personally am a little disappointed that she is a Britney fan, but who knows, maybe that's one of those things she'll grow out of. Like meconium. Yeah. Britney = meconium. That sounds about right.

[Edit: It's low quality because it's from a cell phone. Be sure to turn the volume up for full effect and also check out the (now working) video two posts below.]

Yikes!! Is 4 yrs old really an option. Come on people. If the kid can say boob, it's a little late for weaning.

Devan,

I saw a poster on a newborn website who had two little icons at the bottom of her post as her signature. There was one for each of her children and they listed names as well as the age they were weaned from beast feeding. The oldest daughter? 4 years and 11 months.

Probably weaned when they realized she would have to go to kindergarten!

Oh my Gosh!! I had a family I was seeing once where the mom had three kids: a teen, a 4 yr old, and a 2 yr old. She came into my office one day and was explaining to me the conversation--and yeah a conversation--she had to have with her 4 yr old boy about how he was going to have to stop breast feeding soon. Do you have any idea how difficult it was for me to not only pretend I wasn't disgusted, but accept the concept as perfectly normal and "it happens to everybody?" I mean really, a conversation. Please, world, I know we have big problems of famine, war and pestilence, but if we could just tackle this one boob view that would be great with me!!

6 months. The first time that baby cuts a tooth, you will know why I answered that way.
