Summer Is Here

Nila had a big day today.

This morning, after we dropped Angie off at work, Nila and I went to the playground at the Park of Roses. There's a huge sand pit there and she had a great time. There's also a pond with ducks, geese and fish. I think she enjoyed yelling "duck" at the ducks and geese most of all.

For lunch, we pickes Angie up and went to North Bank park and ate outside. The weather was gorgeous today. She played in the fountains a bit which gave me an idea.

Before dinner, we went to Target and picked up a bathing suit for her. We had dinner at the park and let nila play in the fountains. The pictures below are from the post-dinner fun.

Walk #1 2009

Snacking at the library.

Today, Nila and I took the first of many walks for 2009. We walked to the closest Columbus library to return some books. It was fun and I think Nila enjoyed it too.

We stopped at the library for snacks before returning home. That's where the picture comes from.

Nila Celebrates New Roz

Last year, Nila got all dolled up in her jilli kurdi for the holiday.

Today, she just put on a scarf and posed for pictures.

18 Month Check Up

Nila went to the doctor this morning for a regular check up.

She weighs 22 pounds and is 33.5 inches long. She's perfectly normal and healthy.

And still beautiful.

This picture is about a week old, now, but she still looks like this. ;-)
