Limited Time Only: Nila's DrawQuest Art is Viewable Online

DrawQuest was an ipad app that Nila absolutely loved! Everyday, they would post a new drawing prompt and she'd draw something - or she'd just color one of the older ones. She especially seemed to like the one where she could design her own teddy bear.

DrawQuest is no longer a thing, but they've made the galleries available for about 30 days. I was able to download all of Nila's art, though/

You'll notice a few of the pieces are actually mine. I like to think it's pretty obvious which is which. 

Christmas List 2014

Nila is SO Excited! 

Yes, it's October. But it's only 10 weeks from Christmas and I know that, soon enough, people will start asking me what Nila wants for Christmas!

Typically, when people ask, I look at them like a deer in the headlights; I always draw a blank!

Nila is 7

I'm about a month behind, but Nila celebrated her 7th birthday on September 1st! We had a party the Saturday before with a Frozen theme.

I mean, of course it was a Frozen theme, right? Elsa is Nila's favorite Disney princess and Frozen has all the best songs, including Let it Go, which and Angie and I are absolutely forbidden from singing.

Date Night with Nila

Before I left work this afternoon, Angie let me know that Nila was planning to take me out for a daddy-daughter date night. Just me and her.

When I got home, Nila was dressed in her finest and told me we were going to 5 Guys and Whit's - she knows how to plan a date!

We obviously had a great time! She's a great date. She even held the door for me.

...and we're back!

No posts in 2 years, but now Nila and her blog are back at everybodylovesnila!

Nila is a Kindergartener

Nila is a Kindergartener now. It's crazy to believe that she's old enough, but she is and she's pretty great at it. She is her class' citizen of the month for October. Angie says it's for the whole quarter. She's at the French immersion school, so I really have no idea what's going on. She might be citizen of the year. The Old Pool Still Works

Here's a video of Nila playing in the pool Biwi bought her last year.

It still works and she's having a great time in it at Grandma Tammy's Independence Day Cook Out.

Nila wanted play in this puddle. At first, I thought it was a bad idea, but I decided it wasn't such a terrible idea.

Summer 2011 Begins Now

This weekend a new park opened in town, Columbus Commons. We visited yesterday and there were lots of activities for kids. Here are some pictures of Nila enjoying herself.

Her First School Picture

I may be biased, but this might just be the cutest picture I have ever seen. Just look at that hair! And that smile!

Angie and I have the most beautiful daughter in all the world. That's just a fact. How can you argue now that you've seen this picture?

Since we last spoke Nila has started preschool! She loves it. It's a small class- about 9 kids total. And it's diverse which Angie loves.

Nila's official Halloween costume this year is Alvin the Chipmunk, but for Boo at the Zoo we went with the bee costume Biwi gave us. Nila said this was "the best Halloween ever."

All of my life I've only gone to Circle S for pumpkins, but today we went to Pigeon Roost Farm in Hebron and had a great time.
